Es Jazz Quartet

Es Jazz Quartet is a Slovak music group that offers a fresh take on jazz performance, with an emphasis on diversity and musical sensitivity. It consists of four musicians: Radka Hadová (vocals), Tomáš Šulík (guitar), Filip Veselovský (bass guitar), and Peter Brnický (drums). Their shared passion for jazz is reflected in their authentic yet playful interpretations of well-known jazz standards, infused with elements of swing, blues, bossa nova, and funk. A hallmark of the band is its genre diversity—their repertoire naturally includes hints of pop as well as Slovak folklore, which is a distinctive feature of their work. Es Jazz Quartet offers jazz arrangements of Slovak folk songs, giving them a new expression and timeless quality. Thanks to this combination, the band appeals to a wide range of listeners—from lovers of classic jazz to those discovering the beauty of improvisation and the fusion of traditional motifs with a modern musical sensibility.
