Information

The SOFIA Theater is neither a brick-and-mortar venue nor a state institution. It is the project of a man who believed that theater belongs to everyone—and set out to make that a reality throughout Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Founder & Creator

Peter Gecík —
actor, comedian, host
Peter Gecík is a professional actor and host with more than 25 years of experience. He grew up on stage, moving from amateur theater groups to professional stages, and eventually developed his own theatrical style—original, personal, and unmistakable.

Today, he is the face of the SOFIA Theater and the creator of two original one-man shows that have been seen by more than 10,000 audience members across Slovakia. He also hosts corporate events, gala evenings, festivals, and even weddings—always with the same energy and professionalism.

When Peter steps onto the stage, everything goes exactly as it should. People laugh, reflect, and leave feeling that they’ve spent their time well.
